We offer a wonderful environment for all levels of riding from a brand new beginner to an intermediate advanced skill level in the hunter/jumper disciplines. The lesson program is a great way to learn all about horses; we focus on teaching you how to care and prepare your horse as well as all the fundamentals that build the foundation for a successful rider.

Our lesson program is a United States Hunter Jumper Association Recognized Riding Academy. This program acknowledges lesson programs that emphasize horsemanship and sportsmanship, promote safety and offer introductory Hunter/Jumper lessons. We are fortunate to be 1 of only 10 recognized programs throughout California and Nevada.

Equestrian Member lessons private-$145 small group-$125
Member Pony Rides $60 per 20 minutes

*PLEASE NOTE  All Non Circus Club members must become Equestrian Members in order to participate in our any of our equestrian programs. The cost of the membership is $100 per month.

Amanda Hay brings an impressive resume with an extensive list of credentials having over 25 years of experience competing as a professional in NorthAmerica and Europe as a hunter/ equitation/jumper rider and trainer. After running her own large equestrian center for 20 years in Canada, Amanda is now with the Menlo Circus Club. She loves giving back to the sport that has provided so much for her through teaching young professionals, introducing new riders and challenging experienced riders to achieve their equestrian goals.

Kelly is extremely passionate about sharing her love for horses with others. She majored in Equestrian Science at William Woods University in Fulton, MO. and is a United States Hunter Jumper Association Certified Trainer. Kelly enjoys teaching her students about every aspect of horse care and riding with a strong emphasis on safety and having fun.

Sarah brings years of experience, knowledge, and passion to her riding, coaching, and showing, along with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Sarah hails from Southern CA, where her love for horses began at an early age. She worked her way up through the ranks, learning from the area’s best in the hunter, jumper, and dressage world. Throughout this past 2022 show season, while riding for the legendary Balmoral Farms, Sarah reached two of her personal goals by achieving being named as the leading rider at the 50th anniversary Menlo Charity Horse Show in August and then by finishing 11th in the country in the World Hunter Development Pro Championship held at the Capital Challenge Horse Show in Maryland in October.

Karin Apple is a Bay Area native with over 20 years of experience in the hunter jumper and dressage disciplines. Karin has worked with and for several trainers in the Portola Valley and East Bay areas throughout her junior and professional careers. She is a passionate coach that takes pride in giving riders a solid foundation in basics and helping them along their riding journey, no matter what their goals are. Karin hopes to share her love of the horses with all of her students and help them come incredible horsemen.
